Inspired by the artist's representation of awakening and hope at the birth of a little son for his brother, Theo.......the baby was also named Vincent.
I think it is a beautiful work by the painter. He has captured something ethereal in the early spring in Provence and intended to give it as a gift to Theo and his wife - we will welcome a new baby into our family soon, so it was an emotional choice for my very first published blog; I'm glad you liked the "blue" too.
